Jamaican dollar down by four cents

The Jamaican dollar hit a new low on Thursday, closing just four cents from $138, against its US counterpart, according to the trading summary from the Bank of Jamaica (BOJ).

The dollar closed at $137.96 from $137.48.

The dollar experienced rapid depreciation since June.

At the same time, the British Pound Sterling closed at $178.06 from $176.70 while the Canadian dollar closed at $106.02 from $105.13.
