The Jamaica dollar depreciated 11 cents against its US counterpart, according to Wednesday’s trading summary published by the Bank of Jamaica (BOJ).
The dollar now on a depreciation swing closed at $125.90 on Wednesday compared to $125.79 a day earlier.
The latest round of depreciation started last Tuesday when the dollar pulled back from $124 territory after a bout of appreciation. The dollar regained over $12 since the start of February when it closed at $137.06 to US$1.The Canadian dollar closed at $95.14 versus $94.41 and the British Pound closed at $163.18 versus $165.08.
