Jamaican dollar depreciates by 51 cents against US counterpart

The Jamaican dollar devalued by 51 cents against the US dollar during Wednesday's trading day, according to the trading summary from the Bank of Jamaica (BOJ).

The dollar closed at $127.86 from $127.35 on the prior trading day. The dollar has fluctuated from a low of $131.31 last September. 

The British Pound Sterling closed at $169.00 from $167.46 while the Canadian dollar closed at $98.24 from $100.03.
