Jamaican allegedly caught trying to smuggle cocaine in hair spray
A Jamaican national was arrested at the Owen Roberts International Airport in Cayman Islands on Saturday after he was allegedly found to be in possession of approximately 2 lbs of cocaine.
The illicit drug was concealed in hair products bottles, according to customs officers.
The 25 year-old male was reportedly arrested for the offences of importation of cocaine, possession of cocaine and possession of cocaine with intent to supply. He had arrived on a Cayman Airways flight from Kingston, Jamaica when his luggage was reportedly x-rayed, searched and the drug discovered.
A 59-year-old female Jamaican work permit holder was also arrested in relation to the bust.
