Jamaican-born man on cocaine rap in Grenada

A 33-year-old Jamaica-born American citizen who was allegedly held at the Maurice Bishop International Airport in Grenada recently with over one kilogramme of cocaine in his possession, and was subsequently charged with trafficking the drug, is before the courts in the celebrated spice isle.

Keeno Taylor appeared before a magistrate in St George’s, where his attorney did not even make a bail application on his behalf.

Taylor was arrested shortly before boarding an outbound flight to New York, reportedly after displaying behaviour that aroused the suspicion of police officers who were assigned to the airport

Reports are that his baggage was searched and some 1.3 kilogrammes of cocaine with a street value of EC$132,000 was discovered and seized.

Taylor reportedly has no relatives in Grenada, and was apparently seen as a clear light risk, hence the absence of a bail application on his behalf.
