Jamaica suffer back-to-back defeats in Women's Super50

Jamaica suffered their second straight defeat at the 2019 Colonial Medical Insurance Women’s Super50 Cup in Guyana by losing to Trinidad and Tobago in Round 4 on Saturday.

Off-spin­ners Le­an­dra Ramdeen (4-35) and Kar­ish­ma Ramharack (3-19) combined for seven wickets as Jamaica, batting first, were bowled out for 115 in 29.5 overs at Everest.

Trinidad and Tobago replied with 118 for six in 34.3 overs to win by four wickets with Leeann Kirby top scoring with  39 not out and Reniece Boyce supporting with 31.

Chinelle Henry was the best bowler for Jamaica with three for 18.

Over at the National Stadium, a brilliant 75 not out from Deandra Dottin and four for 25 from Hayley Matthews saw Barbados defeat host Guyana by five wickets. Scores in the game:  Guyana 159 all out in 42.3 overs; Barbados 164 for five in 25.2.

Over at Enmore, Leeward Islands were handed their fourth loss of the tournament when the Windward Islands beat them by seven wickets. Scores in the game: the Leeward Islands 50 all out in 17.3 overs;  Windward Islands 54 for three in 12.4 overs.
