Jamaican shot dead in Trinidad

A Jamaican who has been living in the twin-island republic of Trinidad and Tobago for a number of years was shot dead there last Friday.

The deceased is Augustus Anthony Williams, 25, who was killed in Port of Spain.

He reportedly had residency status in T&T.

The police reported that about 1:15 p.m., Williams was walking along a roadway when he was accosted by a man who shot him several times.

The victim died at the scene of the attack.

No arrest has so far been made as a result of police investigation into the incident.
