Captain Nikita Miller will return to action for Jamaica Scorpions in the fourth round of the Digicel Regional 4-Day Championship, which bowls off on Thursday.

Jamaica Scorpions, which are second-from-the-bottom in the six-team points' table, will play away to third-placed Leeward Islands Hurricanes in St Kitts.

The left arm spinner, who is Jamaica’s all-time wicket-taker in the four-day format, missed the first three games due to injury and after going through his paces with physical trainer David Bernard, he was given the nod to return to action.

Miller said, “I am really happy to be back, it felt like ages ago that I last played, the first thing for me is to make sure that I complete the game without any injury setback.”

Paul Palmer was given the captain's armband for the first three round of matches.

With Palmer at the helm, Jamaica Scorpions only secured 18.2 points following a crushing 263-run defeat against three-time defending champions Guyana Jaguars and back-to-back draws against Trinidad and Tobago Red Force and Barbados Pride.

Miller is now hoping that the team will turn around the recent poor form.

He said, “we want to start winning right away, I believe that my leadership skills will go a far way, but we have to believe in ourselves and perform to our true potential.”

Guyana Jaguars will enter the fourth round atop the points' table with 46.6 points with Trinidad and Tobago Red Force in second place with 41.4 points.

Leeward Islands Hurricanes are in third place with 38.6, followed by Barbados Pride (23.2), Jamaica Scorpions (18.2) and Windward Islands Volcanoes (15.6).
