Jamaica Producers led gains during Wednesday’s trading

Jamaica Producers Group (JP) led Wednesday's gains on a day dominated by declines on the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).
JP gained 5.2 per cent to close at $19.50. It was followed by Dolphin Cove up 3.8 per cent to $17.00.
The JSE Combined Index declined by 1,034.60 points (0.35 per cent) to close at 295,135.44. The Junior Market Index declined by 41.50 points (1.40 per cent) to close at 2,926.84. The JSE USD Equities Index declined by 2.99 points (1.72 per cent) to close at 171.11.
Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 51 stocks of which 19 advanced, 24 declined and 8 traded firm.
Market volume amounted to 12.8 million units valued at over $164.7 million. Sagicor Real Estate X Fund Ltd. was the volume leader with 3,260,757 units (25.30 per cent) followed by GWEST CORPORATION with 2,636,396 units (20.46 per cent) and PanJam Investment Limited with 1,500,000 units (11.64 per cent) .
