Jamaica name team for Fast5 Netball World Series in Australia

Netball Jamaica has announced its team for the upcoming Fast5 Netball World Series at Melbourne’s Hisense Arena, October 28-29.

The team will be led by ace shooter Jhaniele Fowler-Reid, who had asked not to be considered earlier.

 Malysha Kelly and veteran player Paula Thompson were also drafted into the squad.

Six countries - Australia, New Zealand, England, Jamaica, Malawi and South Africa - will take part in the tournament.

All six teams will play six 24 minute games across the two-day series, each team will feature on both days of competition and finals will be held on Sunday.

Fast5 netball features dynamic rules changes, including; five players-a-side, shortened quarters, multiple point shots and double point power plays.

New Zealand won the tournament last year, with Australia runners up.
