Hi-Pro Ace Supercentre, a part of the Jamaica Broilers Group (JBG), last Saturday presented much-needed tools, equipment and supplies valued approximately $500,000, to representatives of the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) to help with relief efforts following the devastation of hurricane Dorian on the Abaco Islands.

The donation includes generators, flashlights, power tools and various other equipment to aid in clean-up efforts.

A group of Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) soldiers left the island last Thursday to assist with recovery efforts in the Bahamas. Hi-Pro Ace Supercentre provided much-needed supplies to the army.

Tricia Jackson, Store Operations Manager, Hi-Pro in presenting the items noted that JBG always stands ready to assist its Caribbean neighbours in times of crisis.

"What has happened to the people of Bahamas is truly heartbreaking and our prayers and well-wishes go out to them as they start to rebuild their lives and try to get back to a place of normalcy", Jackson said.

She added; "We here at JBG have always and will always have a strong desire to serve our country and our region, and will continue to play our part in helping our fellow brothers and sisters when they need us most."
