ISP Finance Services Limited (ISP) led gains during Wednesday's trading of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).
ISP gained 22.71 per cent to close at $25.77, followed by Portland JSX Limited (PJX), up 12.50 per cent to close at $9.00. The day's largest declining stock was Derrimon Trading Company Limited, down 19.76 per cent to close at $1.99.
The JSE Combined Index advanced by 530.76 points (0.10 per cent) to close at 516,001.58. The JSE Index advanced by 145.67 points (0.03 per cent) to close at 519,142.25. The Junior Market Index advanced by 36.39 points (1.03 per cent) to close at 3,556.34. The JSE USD Index closed at 194.45.
The overall market activity resulted in the trading of 63 stocks, of which 28 advanced, 25 declined and 10 traded firm.
Market volume amounted to 503,993,525 units valued at $1.56 billion. Derrimon Trading Company Limited was the volume leader with 432,332,372 units (85.78per cent, followed by Mayberry Jamaican Equities Limited with 40,261,198 units (7.99 per cent) and Wington Windfarm Limited Ordinary Shares with 15,998,473 units (3.17 per cent).
