ISP Finance led double-digit gains during Thursday’s trading

ISP Finance Services Limited led double-digit gains during Thursday’s trading of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).

ISP gained 15 per cent to close at $15.50. Main Event Entertainment gained 11 per cent to close at $5.80. The day’s biggest loser went to 138 Student Living down 26 per cent to $4.00.

The JSE Combined Index declined by 1,632.41 points (0.42 per cent) to close at 388,133.34. The JSE Index declined by 2,031.30 points (0.52 per cent) to close at 385,557.28. The Junior Market Index advanced by 21.14 points (0.69 per cent) to close at 3,091.22. The JSE USD Equities Index advanced by 2.99 points (1.70 per cent) to close at 178.76. The JSE Financial Index declined by 0.53 points (0.53 per cent) to close at 98.87.

Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 60 stocks of which 27 advanced, 29 declined and 4 traded firm.

Market volume amounted to 13,038,010 units valued at over $165,475,146.88. Lasco Manufacturing was the volume leader with 6,167,975 units (47.31 per cent) followed by Jamaica Producers Group with 1,219,097 units (9.35 per cent) and Supreme Ventures with 1,037,087 units (7.95 per cent) .
