IronRock Insurance led double-digit gains during Monday’s trading
IronRock Insurance made double-digit gains on Monday’s trading on the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).
IronRock gained 29 per cent on the day to close at $3.89. It was followed by Ciboney Group up 14 per cent to close at $0.13.
The top declining stock on the day was Eppley down 10.4 per cent to $15.54.
Also on the day, the JSE Combined Index advanced by 1,524.08 points (0.41 per cent) to close at 374,645.20.
The JSE Index advanced by 1,176.24 points (0.31 per cent) to close at 377,131 points.
The JSE All Jamaican Composite Index advanced by 1,330.49 points (0.32 per cent) to close at 413,639.59. The Junior Market Index advanced by 41.20 points (1.63 per cent) to close at 2,570.54. The JSE USD Equities Index declined by 0.56 points (0.30 per cent) to close at 184.86.
The JSE Financial Index advanced by 0.48 points (0.49 per cent) to close at 98.07.
The JSE Manufacturing & Distribution Index advanced by 0.47 points (0.62 per cent) to close at 76.37.
Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 73 stocks of which 33 advanced, 24 declined and 16 traded firm.
Market volume amounted to 28,654,817 units valued at over $99.5 million. Transjamaican Highway Ltd was the volume leader with 10.8 million units (37.65 per cent) followed by JMMB Group Ltd 7.50 per cent with 7.9 million units (27.59 per cent) and Pulse Investments with 2,731,347 units (9.53 per cent) .
