IDB/PSOJ collaborate on survey to determine COVID-19 impact on firms
Created : 8 June 2020
The Inter-American Development (IDB) is collaborating with the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ) in a survey aimed at estimating the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Jamaican businesses.
In a statement Friday, the IDB said the government and its development partners need to fully appreciate the extent of the crisis faced by Jamaican businesses.
In urging businesses to participate in the survey, the IDB said: “You will be adding your voice and your experience to the efforts to rigorously advocate for policies and programmes that are designed to maximize the benefit to Jamaican businesses”.
“The information that you provide will enable us to measure the true depth of the economic crisis that you are facing, and to identify the areas where assistance is most urgently needed,” the statement added.
The questionnaire should take no more than 30 minutes to complete and no information that will allow for identification of the business is asked for. The questionnaire will be completed online and will be automatically submitted to the analysts.
