ICreate stock gains 18 per cent on first day of trading

ICreate stock gained 18 per cent on its first day of trading on the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).

The stock closed at $1.19 with 177,000 units trading hands on its first day of trading on the Junior Market, followed by Medical Disposables Limited up 17.5 per cent to close at $6.49. Pulse Investments led declines down 8.0 per cent to $2.46. 

The JSE Combined Index advanced by 1,340.33 points ( 0.34 per cent) to close at 390,288.18. The JSE Index advanced by 999.17 points ( 0.26 per cent) to close at 387,003.75. The JSE All Jamaican Composite Index advanced by 1,099.55 points ( 0.26 per cent) to close at 424,781.63. The Junior Market Index advanced by 38.36 points ( 1.23 per cent) to close at 3,166.23. The JSE USD Equities Index declined by 0.04 points ( 0.02 per cent) to close at 173.79.

Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 62 stocks of which 29 advanced, 20 declined and 13 traded firm.

Market volume amounted to 9,345,955 units valued at over $109,672,337.17. Jamaican Teas was the volume leader with 4,523,710 units (48.40per cent)  followed by Fontana Limited with 913,786 units (9.78 per cent) and Scotia Group Jamaica with 375,825 units (4.02 per cent).
