iCreate, Heart Trust sign MOU to train students in creative industry

The programme takes effect in May across all HEART institutions.

The programme takes effect in May across all HEART institutions.

Almost a year after preliminary discussions, iCreate and the Heart Trust NTA have officially signed a memorandum of understanding for training and certification in the creative industry and economy.

The partnership comes just days after iCreate signed a memorandum of understanding with the KSAMC to train 40 young people in video production.

iCreate's partnership with HEART will go beyond the training of students, but will also include the implementation of courses for the training and certification of facilitators in a range of digital economy and digital media programmes.

The programme takes effect in May across all HEART institutions.

“The new partnership is in line with the strategic direction that the HEART Trust NTA is currently pursuing, as we look for emerging sectors to support and certify, through partnerships,” Director of Garmex Limited, Orville Plummer noted during the MOU signing on Tuesday, April 2, 2019.

The implementation will begin with a 32-hour capacity building for HEART facilitators in preparation of classroom teaching. This will be followed by a 40-hour customized programme, in social media customer service.
