Leading trainer Anthony Nunes' HOUDINI'S MAGIC easily won Wednesday's open allowance event at Caymanas Park, outclassing UNCLE FRANK and even-money favourite SARATOGA SIGHT by four lengths.

Partnered by Shane Ellis, HOUDINI'S MAGIC defied topweight of 126lb to chase DRUMMER BOY off the lead in the eight-and-a-half-furlong event.

SARATOGA SIGHT with apprentice rider Christopher Mamdeen improved into second, coming off the turn but was no match for down-in-class HOUDINI'S MAGIC, eventually losing to tUNCLE FRANK with champion jockey Anthony Thomas in a battle for second behind the winner, who clocked 1:44.3 for the trip.

Meanwhile, apprentice Reyan Lewis rode two winners, DEE DANGER and MAMASHARONDARLING, in the second and fourth races, respectively, improving his tally to 39 wins, seven behind Christopher Mamdeen, whose lone victory on the 10-race card was CRIMSON in the third event.

Racing continues at Caymanas Park on Saturday.
