Honey Bun stock gained 13 per cent on Tuesday

Honey Bun led gains during Tuesday’s trading of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).

The stock gained 13 per cent to close at $5.57 on the day with 28,000 units trading hands.

There wasn’t much activity on the market and no other stock gained double digit levels.

The leading decliner was AMG Packaging which lost 14 per cent of its value on Tuesday to close at $1.55 with 100,000 units trading hands.

Of the 71 stocks that traded on Tuesday 18 advanced and 41 declined. Overall, the JSE Combined Index declined by 3,243.53 points (0.87 per cent) to close at 371,401.67.

The JSE Index declined by 2,923.73 points (0.78 per cent) to close at 374,207.74 and the Junior Market Index declined by 51.57 points (2.01 per cent) to close at 2,518.97.

The JSE USD Equities Index advanced by 3.50 points (1.89 per cent) to close at 188.36.

The JSE Financial Index declined by 1.07 points (1.09 per cent) to close at 97.00.

The JSE Manufacturing & Distribution Index declined by 0.70 points (0.92 per cent) to close at 75.67.

Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 71 stocks of which 18 advanced, 41 declined and 12 traded firm.

Market volume amounted to 33,021,650 units valued at over $103,256,456.18 with Sagicor Select Funds Financial leading volumes.
