Created : 15 August 2017
Police are searching for gunmen who on Monday held up and robbed a group of returning residents of their luggage and the car they were travelling in minutes after they left the Norman Manley International (NMIA) airport.
The traumatized victims were found along the Michael Manley Boulevard in Kingston, reportedly minutes after the attack.
Police reports are that at about 11:30 am, the victims were travelling from the NMIA and, upon reaching a section of the boulevard, they were hijacked by a group of armed men who were lurking by the roadside.
Police report that the returning residents were then removed from the car by the criminals, who then drove off with the goods and luggage that were in the vehicle.
East Kingston police have since launched an investigation into the incident.
