Jamaica has again demonstrated its awesome potential as a world beater, this time with the really heartwarming triumph of the Reggae Girlz in marching into the Women’s World Cup of Football that is scheduled for France next year.

Twenty years after the Reggae Boys hit the big stage in 1998, we are back with a bang and it signals such glory, possibilities and potential for the country on the global scene.

Hearty congratulations to the Girlz and the team that has been behind their effort and mission, including the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF), which gets the flak when the chips are down, and hence, must be duly recognised when the goods are delivered in fine style.

Just the manner of how the Girlz executed that penalty shootout to conquer Panama and say ‘hello’ to the world last week, told the country and people of Jamaica’s true mettle, which is the subject of this week’s Here’s What We Know feature that is presented in video below that was edited by Shawn Barnes.
