The former outspoken Contractor General, Greg Christie is to take over as the executive director of Jamaica's anti-corruption agency, the Integrity Commission.

Christie’s appointment becomes effective on May 18. He is currently the Director of the Integrity Commission of the Turks and Caicos Islands hence the lag time for him to take up his new assignment.

The commission issued a statement Wednesday announcing the appointment.

“He will bring to the commission his vast experience in the public as well as the private sector,” the statement said.

Christie is an attorney-at-law who also holds a certificate in business studies.

He will replace Colonel Daniel Pryce who has served as interim executive director since the Commission was established nearly two years ago.
