Prime Minister Andrew Holness says his administration remains serious about engaging the nation’s youth.
He declared that the younger generation is a critical stakeholder in the continued growth and economic well-being of the country.
Addressing the installation of the National Youth Advisory Council of Jamaica at the Banquet Hall Jamaica House recently, Holness said the government supported the positive aspirations of the youth and is eager to provide the proverbial ‘seat at the table’ for youth leaders.

“It is critical that the youth are engaged so that the outlook on the future reflects the inter-generational vision of what Jamaica should be,” said Holness.
The prime minister indicated that next year more youth input will be prioritized in both government policy formulation and legislation.
He said he is pleased that there remains a constant emergence of young, bright, talented individuals to lead Jamaica in the future.
“Despite all the problems, we still have a critical mass of young people to lead Jamaica to that place of prosperity.”
