General Accident led gains during Thursday's trading

General Accident (GENAC) led gains during Thursday’s trading of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).
GENAC gained 9.5 per cent to close at $4.50. It was followed by FosRich up 8.0 per cent to $4.32. The day’s biggest loser went to Jetcon Corporation down 8.3 per cent to $2.65.
The JSE Combined Index declined by 106.16 points (0.03 per cent) to close at 388,005.67. The JSE Index declined by 462.34 points (0.12 per cent) to close at 385,234.49.
The JSE All Jamaican Composite Index declined by 508.79 points (0.12 per cent) to close at 422,832.52. The Junior Market Index advanced by 28.89 points (0.94 per cent) to close at 3,106.52.
The JSE USD Equities Index advanced by 0.15 points (0.08 per cent) to close at 179.38.
The JSE Financial Index advanced by 0.23 points (0.23 per cent) to close at 98.27.
Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 58 stocks of which 25 advanced, 22 declined and 11 traded firm.
Market volume amounted to 13.33 million units valued at over $114.8 million. Stanley Motta was the volume leader with 10,047,101 units (75.32 per cent) followed by Jamaica Broilers with 706,652 units (5.30 per cent) and Fontana with 511,481 units (3.83per cent)
