Galil rifle registered to Haitian police seized in Rockfort

The Galil rifle, registered to the Hatian police, seized in Rockfort, Kingston on Sunday.
Detectives assigned to the Kingston Eastern Police Division seized a Galil Ace assault rifle on Sunday morning after responding to a shootout between rival gangs in Rockfort.
The gun is registered to the Haitian police, leading cops to speculate that it was acquired in the illicit drugs-for-guns trade between the two countries.
Reports are that the police were alerted after sounds of explosions were heard in the area at around 2 am. The lawmen reportedly came under heavy gunfire after arriving on the scene.
The high powered rifle was reportedly recovered after the shooting subsided.
Meanwhile, the Kingston Eastern police have listed three men who are wanted in connection with several serious crimes - including murder - in the area.
1. Dwayne Barrett otherwise called ‘Nooksie’, of Barnes Road, Rockfort, Kingston 2.
2. A man known only as ‘Little Junior’ also of Barnes Road, Rockfort, Kingston 2.
3. Andrew Facey otherwise called ‘Andrew Phang’ of a Rockfort address.
Barrett and ‘Little Junior’ are said to frequent D’Aguilar Road, Glasspole Avenue and Shanty Town area of Rockfort, while Facey is said to frequent Adastra Road and La’ Cruise Road also in Rockfort.
The three individuals are asked to turn themselves in to the Kingston Eastern Criminal Investigation Branch by midday Monday, June 05
