Fuel prices down

Effective Thursday, motorists will pay $0.72 less per litre for both 87-and 90-octane gasoline which will now sell for $137.82 and $140.66 per litre, respectively.

That's according to the latest costings released by the state-owned oil refinery, Petrojam.

Automotive diesel fuel will be sold for $140.50 per litre following a decrease of $0.35 while ultra-low sulphur diesel is down by $0.30, and will be sold for $144.97 per litre.

Meanwhile, kerosene decreased in price by $0.28 and will be sold for $123.23 per litre.

Propane liquid petroleum will be sold for $58.73 per litre, up by $0.35 and butane liquid petroleum will be sold for $64.75 per litre after a decrease of $0.62.

Marketing companies and retailers will add their respective margins to these prices.
