Four stocks up led double-digits on Wednesday
Four stocks led double-digit gains on the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) on Wednesday.
Ciboney gained 20 per cent to close at $0.20, ISP Finance gained 12.4 per cent to close at $13.50, Berger Paints up 11 per cent to $17.95, Jamaica Producers gained 11 per cent to close at $16.67.
The JSE Combined Index declined by 424.45 points (0.14 per cent) to close at 300,754.58. The JSE Index declined by 622.05 points (0.21 per cent) to close at 292,559.42. The JSE All Jamaican Composite Index declined by 682.73 points (0.21 per cent) to close at 321,101.12.
The JSE Select Index declined by 21.81 points (0.25 per cent) to close at 8,853.97.
The Junior Market Index advanced by 13.72 points (0.47 per cent) to close at 2,910.80.
The JSE USD Equities Index advanced by 1.87 points (1.13 per cent) to close at 167.72. Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 50 stocks of which 19 advanced, 21 declined and 10 traded firm.
Market volume amounted to 8,683,432 units valued at over $68.2 million. VICTORIA MUTUAL was the volume leader with 1,394,445 units(16.06 per cent) followed by Lasco Financial Services Limited with 1,082,814 units (12.47 per cent) and Caribbean Producers Jamaica Limited with 1,054,990 units (12.15 per cent) .
