Four shot in Hanover gun attack

Four persons were shot and injured by a lone gunman who pounced upon a group of men playing bingo at a shop in Hanover on Wednesday night.

Reports are that about 8:15 p.m., a group of men was playing bingo at a shop in the Copse community, when a man, dressed in a black hooded shirt, who brandished a handgun and opened fire on them.

Following the shooting, four persons were discovered suffering from gunshot wounds.

They were rushed to the Cornwall Regional Hospital, where they were admitted for treatment.

The gunman reportedly made his escape from the area on foot.

The Ramble police are investigating the incident.

No motive has yet been established for the attack.
