Four more murders, including 12-year-old boy, in Clarendon

Another four persons, including a 12-year-old boy, were murdered in separate incidents in Clarendon on Wednesday.

The latest homicides followed more than 10 murders in the parish last week, which have triggered calls for increased security personnel in the mid-island parish.

The latest casualties include 12-year-old Kemaro Myles, who was shot dead at about 10:30 pm in the Milk River area.

In Lionel Town, also in southern Clarendon, 26-year-old Ricardo James, also called ‘Ricky Trooper’, was shot dead about 8:00 pm.

James was reportedly at a house on Young Street in the town when he was approached by a gunman, who shot him several times.

In the war-torn Farm community in Central Clarendon, 60-year-old Phillip Thomas, otherwise called ‘Roderick’, was killed at about 9:30 pm.

Thomas was cut down by gunmen who entered a yard where he was with a female companion, who was also injured and has been hospitalised in a serious condition.

The suspected motives behind the attacks and the circumstances and details of the fourth killing are still unclear.
