Former KC star Deshawn Morris wins 400m at indoor meet in Nebraska

Former Kingston College (KC) star Deshawn Morris won the men's 400m at the Frank Savigne Husker Invitational Indoor Track & Field Meet at the Bob Devaney Sports Center in Lincoln, Nebraska at the weekend.

The University of Maryland athlete clocked 47.26 seconds for the victory. Tony Nou (47.45) of the University of Nebraska and Che Lara (47.91) Pratt Community College finished second and third, respectively.

Morris is best known for scoring a famous victory in the Boys' Class 1 400m final at the 2018 ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls' Athletics Championships at the National Stadium in Kingston.

Morris won the event in 45.09 seconds to turn back the challenge of  Calabar High's Anthony Carpenter (45.47) and Chevannie Hanson (46.03) of Edwin Allen.
