Former Campion College head boy named 2018 Rhodes Scholar

A 23-year-old graduate of Stanford University is Jamaica’s 2018 Rhodes scholarship recipient.

Jelani Munroe, who is a former head boy of Campion College, topped a field of 10 candidates shortlisted for consideration of the annual scholarship award which will allow him to pursue training at the illustrious Oxford University in the United Kingdom.

The award was announced at Kings House  on Thursday.

Munroe will pursue an MPhil in Development Studies. He holds a Bachelors degree in economics and public policy (development and growth policy) and a certificate in general management.
