Fontana leads gains for a second time since listing

Fontana Limited (FTNA) again led gains on Thursday’s trading of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE). 

FTNA gained 21.4 per cent to close at $3.85 on its second trading day since listing.

It was followed by Knutsford Express Services Limited (KEX), up 6.82 per cent to close at $13.00. The day’s largest declining stock was Sagicor Real Estate X Fund Limited (XFUND), down 8.98 per cent to close at $10.04.

The JSE Combined Index advanced by 447.46 points (0.12 per cent) to close at 381,292.72. The JSE Index advanced by 75.75 points (0.02 per cent) to close at 375,882.99. The Junior Market Index advanced by 34.26 points (1.06 per cent) to close at 3,276.67. The JSE USD Equities Index closed at 166.86.

Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 53 stocks of which 19 advanced, 22 declined and 12 traded firm. 

Market volume amounted to 14,039,925 units valued at over $102,822,712.91.

Fontana Limited was the volume leader with 9,609,205 units (68.44 per cent) followed by 1834 Investments Limited with 971,378 units (6.92 per cent) and Sagicor Real Estate X Fund Limited with 395,384 units (2.82 per cent).
