Firearm holder faces heat in questionable shooting on Mannings Hill Rd

Police say they are waiting to question a man who was shot and injured by a licensed firearm holder along Mannings Hill Road in St Andrew last Thursday, after another man was fatally stabbed.

The man is currently in hospital nursing a gunshot wound to the upper body.

Law enforcement officials told Loop News that they are paying close attention to the case amid a number of conflicting reports that are circulating on the matter.

Reports are that, at sometime after 7pm last Thursday, a man only identified by his alias, 'Terror', was fatally stabbed along Mannings Hill Road.

Details around what happened in the immediate aftermath of the stabbing incident are still unclear, but one man was left hospitalised in serious condition after reportedly being shot in the upper body by the licensed firearm holder.

According to a police source, it is being alleged by some residents that the injured man was assisting the now deceased stabbing victim and was running to seek further assistance when he was shot by the licensed firearm holder who had mistaken him for the attacker.

Other alleged eyewitnesses, the source said, claim that it was indeed the injured man who carried out the fatal knife attack.

The law enforcement official said detectives are stepping up their investigations in the case and are questioning the firearm holder.

There have been no charges related to the incidents.
