‘Finga’ booked for allegedly shooting at the police over a year ago

A man who reportedly shot at members of a police team in downtown Kingston more than a year ago has now been charged for the alleged offence.

The man, identified as 37-year-old Prince Winter, otherwise called ‘Finga’, has been arrested and charged with shooting with intent and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition in relation to the incident on Orange Street in Kingston on Friday, August 3, 2018.

Reports are that about 10.15 pm, Winter and a group of men opened gunfire on a police team that was on patrol in the area.

The police said the suspect was recently arrested and charged following a question and answer session with his attorney.

A court date for Winter is to be announced soon.
