Fight between sisters turns deadly; 17-year-old ‘takes own life’

A 17-year-old girl has died in a suspected suicide in Mona Commons, St Andrew.
The teenager is suspected to have taken her own life after a fight with a sibling.
The deceased was discovered by her mother about 6.45 pm.
The Papine police are investigating the incident.
A mental health/suicide helpline has been established by the Ministry of Health, in partnership with the non-governmental organisation (NGO), Choose Life International (CLI), to provide support to persons in need of assistance.
The helpline, 1-888-NEW-LIFE (1-888-639-5433), is toll-free and provides 24-hour assistance to persons with mental health issues seeking help.
