Female robbed, shot dead in Linstead

A woman was robbed and shot dead inside her home in Linstead, St Catherine on Monday night.

The deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Kidonne Miller.

Police report that about 7 pm, armed men allegedly entered Miller’s home in an area known as 'Time and Patience', and robbed her of a sum of cash and appliances before opening gunfire hitting her in the upper body.

They then fled the scene of their crime.

The police were summoned and Miller was taken to hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The police have now launched a manhunt for the men responsible for the attack.

Linstead is one of the communities which fall under the state of emergency declared for the St Catherine North Police Division.
