Express Catering, SOS led gains during Tuesday’s trading

Express Catering Limited and Stationery and Office Supplies led gains on Tuesday’s trading of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).
Express gained 11.4 per cent to close at $4.79 followed by SOS up 7.0 per cent to close at $5.50. Berger Paints led declines down 14 per cent to close at $16.13.
The JSE Combined Index advanced by 1,643.53 points (0.55 per cent) to close at 301,179.03. The JSE Index advanced by 1,390.55 points (0.48 per cent) to close at 293,181.47. The JSE All Jamaican Composite Index advanced by 1,526.21 points (0.48 per cent) to close at 321,783.85. The JSE Select Index advanced by 76.51 points (0.87 per cent) to close at 8,875.78. The Junior Market Index advanced by 33.65 points (1.18 per cent) to close at 2,897.08. The JSE USD Equities Index declined by 3.71 points (2.19 per cent) to close at 165.85.
Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 51 stocks of which 23 advanced, 17 declined and 11 traded firm.
Market volume amounted to 13,108,417 units valued at over $153.4 million. Berger Paints Jamaica Ltd. was the volume leader with 2,492,575 units (19.02 per cent) followed by WISYNCO GROUP LTD ORDINARY SHARES with 2,449,787 units (18.69 per cent) and VICTORIA MUTUAL with 1,963,833 units (14.98 per cent) .
