Everything Fresh, Sygnus, Sterling led double-digit gains on Thursday
Everything Fresh, Eppley Limited, Sygnus Credit and Sterling Investments Limited led double-digit gains during Thursday’s trading on the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).
Everything Fresh gained 29 per cent to close at 0.84, Sygnus Credit gained 28 per cent to close at US$0.16, Eppley Limited gained 25 per cent to $15, and SIL gained 25 at US$0.03.
On the other hand, SSL Ventures Limited lost 18 per cent to dip to $0.85 to lead decliners.
Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 79 stocks of which 49 advanced, 18 declined and 12 traded firm.
The JSE Combined Index advanced by 3,429.40 points (0.92 per cent) to close at 376,623.05.
The JSE Index advanced by 2,911.92 points (0.77 per cent) to close at 380,510.48.
The JSE All Jamaican Composite Index advanced by 3,216.72 points (0.78 per cent) to close at 417,500.17. The Junior Market Index advanced by 69.27 points (2.89 per cent) to close at 2,463.20. The JSE USD Equities Index advanced by 6.44 points (3.18 per cent) to close at 208.70. The JSE Financial Index advanced by 0.30 points (0.29 per cent) to close at 103.93.
The JSE Manufacturing & Distribution Index advanced by 1.43 points (2.03 per cent) to close at 71.77.
Market volume amounted to 32.3 million units valued at over $105.6 million. Transjamaican Highway Limited was the volume leader with 10,342,114 units (31.98per cent) followed by Mailpac Group with 8,397,683 units (25.97per cent) and Wigton Windfarm with 3,372,695 units (10.43per cent).
