Roots conscious reggae artiste Jah9 and lovers rock singer Etana wowed Reggae Sumfest Festival Night Two at Catherine Hall in Montego Bay Saturday night with outstanding performances.
Both women extended their strong vocal cords for the packed venue, with Etana enhancing her performance with different dancers throughout.
Dressed in a tight-fitting black jumper suit with gold trimmings, Etana was splendid as she opened her set with 'Better Tomorrow'. She followed that with 'Warrior Love', before delivering 'When A Man Loves A Woman', 'My Man', 'Six Minutes And 21 seconds' and 'Spread Love'. 'I Rise', 'I Am Not Afraid', 'Reggae' and 'We Don't Want No Trouble' would follow before she closed with 'Roots'.
Meanwhile, Jah9 delivered a solid performance filled with conscious lyrics that glued the audience, wowing them into saluting her with loud applause at the end.
From opening her set with 'Avacado', Jah9 captivated the crowd with her musical commentaries that gnawed at some of the social ills befalling the Jamaican society.
