Elaine Thompson clocks meet record to win 100m in Rabat

Jamaican Rio Olympic sprint sensation Elaine Thompson.
Jamaican Rio Olympic sprint sensation Elaine Thompson accounted for the 100-metre women's meeting record at the Diamond League meeting in Rabat, Morocco on Sunday with a 10.87 clocking.
The 25-year-old Thompson beat Marie-Josee Ta Lou of Ivory Coast, who clocked 10.90 seconds, while Michelle-Lee Ahye of Trinidad and
Tobago finished third in 11.02.
The other two Jamaicans in the race finished down the track. Jura Levy was seventh in 11.18 with Christania Williams,ninth in 11.28.
There was a second victory for Jamaica in Rabat as Ristananna Tracey won the women's 400m hurdles in 55.18, well ahead of Swiss athlete Petra Fontanive (55.35). Nikita Tracey, sister of Ristananna, finished third in 55.50.
In the women's 400 metres, the Jamaican pair of Novlene Williams-Mills (51.18) and Rio Olympic bronze medallist Shericka Jackson (51.20) finished fourth and fifth respectively.
The race was won by Shaunae Miller-Uibo of the Bahamas, who is now assured of a spot in the Diamond League final.
The Rio Olympic champion eased to a second victory of the season and set another meeting record with a 49.80 seconds, finishing almost a second before runner-up Natasha Hastings of the USA.
In the women's triple jump, Jamaican Kimberly Williams finished second with an effort of 14.31 metres.
Defending champion Caterine Ibarguen of Colombia made amends for failing to win in Rome by sealing success with a leap of 14.51m.
In the men's shot put, Jamaican O'Dayne Richards finished second with a throw of 21.96 metres,
American Ryan Crouser won with a throw of 22.47 metres.
