Double murder in Trelawny; cops name person of interest

Sleuths attached to the Falmouth police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a double murder in Freemans Hall in Trelawny on Friday, October 11.
Dead are 27-year-old Courtney Bailey, a taxi operator, and 50-year-old Sophia Bryan, otherwise called ‘Carol’, both of Freemans Hall.
Reports are that about 10.30 am, residents found the bodies of the deceased persons in the bathroom of a one-bedroom dwelling, and summoned the police.
The police have since named Garfield Edwards, otherwise called ‘Milo’, of Freemans Hall, as a person of interest in relation to the matter. He has been asked to turn himself in to the police by 6pm on Monday, October 14.
Residents are being reminded by the police to co-operate with law enforcement officers, and to allow for due process to take place in relation to the development.
