Don't oppose Cryptocurrency in overnight allowance race

Trainer Philip Feanny’s in-form four-year-old filly, CRYPTOCURRENCY, is hunting back-to-back wins, making her overnight allowance debut in Saturday’s ninth and closing event at Caymanas Park, a five-and-a-half furlong sprint.

Among CRYPTOCURRENCY’s 12 rivals is former stablemate, 10-year-old CAMPESINO, who has been holding his own against seasoned opponents and reports off an $850,000 claim, running for the first time from David Powell’s barn.

Owen Sharpe’s DUNROBIN is also aiming at back-to-back wins but comes in at topweight, 123lb, allowing CRYPTOCURRENCY 12lb, after his December 28 victory against ANASO.

Another runner on the prowl is EYE CANDY, stepping up two classes and aiming at her second win in seven days after going all the way at six furlongs last Saturday.

However, CRYPTOCURRENCY is hard to oppose with 112lb. She carried 122lb when beating ROY ROGERS on last and hasn’t been this light since clocking 1:06.4 to upset PRINCE CHARLES at five and a half furlongs, sitting level with the colt.

Oneil Mullings has been retained by Feanny aboard CRYPTOCURRENCY, having developed a partnership with the filly, who tends to haul up in her races.

First post for the nine-race card is 12:45 pm.
