Dolphin Cove led gains during Wednesday’s trading
Dolphin Cove, Jetcon Corporation and Caribbean Cement led gains during Wednesday’s trading on the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).
Dolphin Cove gained 33 per cent to close at $14.00, followed by Jetcon up 22 per cent to close at $3.15, while Carib Cement gained 15.3 per cent to close at $49.95.
Knutsford Express Services declined 12.5 per cent to $10.94.
The JSE Combined Index advanced by 3,110.57 points (0.80 per cent) to close at 389,580.44. The JSE Index advanced by 3,059.10 points (0.80 per cent) to close at 387,011.75. The Junior Market Index advanced by 27.35 points (0.89 per cent) to close at 3,101.31.
The JSE USD Equities Index declined by 5.30 points (3.04 per cent) to close at 168.80.
Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 60 stocks of which 27 advanced, 29 declined and 4 traded firm.
Market volume amounted to 9,486,440 units valued at over $138,919,998.34. Sygnus Credit Investments USD shares was the volume leader with 1,881,855 units (19.84per cent) followed by JMMB Group Limited with 1,588,456 units (16.74per cent) and Fontana Limited ith 816,855 units (8.61per cent).
