Dogs removed from owner after attack on teacher

A number of dogs suspected of attacking a primary school teacher last week have been taken from their owner.

The Corporate Communications Unit of the Jamaica Constabulary Force said the dogs were removed Saturday with the assistance of the Jamaica Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (JSPCA).

Police report that, on Thursday evening, the female St Richards Primary teacher was walking along Woodlawn Close in the Cooper’s Hill community when she was attacked by a pack of dogs.

The cops were alerted and, on their arrival, a woman was reportedly observed with multiple injuries and a pack of dogs was  seen in the vicinity.

The teacher was rescued and taken to the hospital by the police where she remains in serious condition.

Police said their investigations into the incident are ongoing.
