Romario Brown, the man who has been charged with the murder of fashion designer, Dexter Pottinger, was remanded in custody when he appeared in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Wednesday.

The 21-year-old tattoo artist is scheduled to return to court on November 9.

The post-mortem report is being awaited by the prosecution for the case file to be completed.

Pottinger's decomposing body was found at his Yarico Place residence in St Andrew on August 31, reportedly with multiple stab wounds, including to the back.

His stolen Honda CRV motor vehicle was later found intact in the Stony Hill area of St Andrew, and it was reported that the weapon with which the wounds were inflicted – a knife – along with a television set that was taken from Pottinger’s house, were found at Brown's home in the Stony Hill area.

Brown, who had been bailed by Pottinger on a relatively minor charge only two days before Pottinger’s body was found, was also on bail for the alleged murder of a woman in St Andrew last year. That case is pending in the Home Circuit Court.
