Derrimon Trading led gains during Monday’s trading
Derrimon Trading Company (DTL) led gains during Monday’s trading of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).
DTL gained 13 per cent to close at $2.95 followed by Berger Paints up 5.0 per cent to close at $21.
The main loser of the day went to Proven Investments down 22 per cent to $27.02
The JSE Combined Index declined by 6,196.38 points (1.63 per cent) to close at 374,995.07. The JSE Index declined by 7,297.03 points (1.93 per cent) to close at 370,071.16 while the JSE All Jamaican Composite Index declined by 8,017.57 points (1.94 per cent) to close at 406,165.98.
The JSE Select Index declined by 200.11 points (2.09 per cent) to close at 9,394.97.
The Junior Market Index advanced by 45.78 points (1.46 per cent) to close at 3,189.56.
The JSE USD Equities Index closed at 165.63.
Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 53 stocks of which 20 advanced, 19 declined and 14 traded firm. Market volume amounted to 26,641,338 units valued at over $1.15 billion.
Sagicor Group Jamaica was the volume leader with 5,552,292 units (20.84 per cent) followed by Scotia Group Jamaica Limited with 4,982,116 units (18.70 per cent) and NCB Financial Group with 3,598,470 units (13.51 per cent) .
