Derrimon, Stanley Motta led gains during Thursday's trading

Derrimon Trading (DTL) and Stanley Motta (SML) led double-digit gains during Thursday's trading on the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).

DTL gained 16 per cent to close at $2.72 with 3,500 units trading. SML gained 15 per cent to close at $4.99 with 17,400 units. On the losing end was iCreate down 14 per cent to $.084 and Barita down 14 per cent to $43.10. 

Declining stocks continued to mark trading activity on the market and the overall combined indices fell. The JSE Combined Index declined by 3,309.98 points ( 0.86 per cent) to close at 383,377.12.

The JSE Index declined by 3,720.07 points ( 0.97 per cent) to close at 381,429.58. The Junior Market Index advanced by 9.97 points ( 0.33 per cent) to close at 3,003.91. The JSE USD Equities Index declined by 3.80 points ( 2.11 per cent) to close at 176.43. The JSE Financial Index declined by 1.14 points ( 1.16 per cent) to close at 97.07.

Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 58 stocks of which 19 advanced, 29 declined and 10 traded firm.

Market volume amounted to 2,800,592 units valued at over $42,721,544.45. Wisynco Group was the volume leader with 286,871 units (10.24per cent)  followed by Lasco Manufacturing with 203,560 units (7.27per cent) and Barita Investments with 202,682 units (7.24per cent) .
