Derrimon led gains during Tuesday's trading

Derrimon Trading led gains on Tuesday’s trading of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE).

The stock gained 13 per cent on the day with 10,000 units trading to close at $7.91. It was followed by Mayberry Investments up 11 per cent to $6.00.Whilst Jamaican Teas gained 9.6 per cent to close at $4.00.

The JSE Combined Index advanced by 495.87 points to close at 285,119.68. 

The JSE Index advanced by 575.34 points to close at 278,040.36. The JSE All Jamaican Composite Index advanced by 631.47 points to close at 305,165.60. The JSE Select Index declined by 9.67 points to close at 8,226.12.

The Junior Market Index declined by 3.00 points to close at 2,700.74.

The JSE USD Equities Index advanced by 2.29 points to close at 172.84. Knutsford Express declined down 5.0 per cent to close at $14.00.

Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 41 stocks of which 20 advanced, 13 declined and 8 traded firm.

Market volume amounted to 5,954,953 units valued at over $91.6 million. Caribbean Cream Limited was the volume leader with 2,002,200 units (33.62 per cent) followed by Proven Investments Limited USD with 1,101,440 units (18.50 per cent) and Lasco Distributors Limited with 789,740 units (13.26 per cent) .
