Miss St Elizabeth, DainaLyn Swaby, won the 2017 Miss Jamaica Festival Queen title on Tuesday, becoming the first woman from the 'bread basket' parish to win the competition in its 54-year history.

Swaby, 24, also copped sectional prizes for most poised, best performance, and most culturally aware.

She said her reign will focus on exposing young people across the island to the many opportunities available through entrepreneurship.

The 'top 3' was completed by first runner-up, Miss St Ann Nareesha Jackson, and second runner-up, Miss St Mary Ava-Gail Lindsay.
