Curfew extended in a section of Spanish Town

The curfew that was imposed in a section of Spanish Town in the St Catherine North Police Division on Wednesday, has been extended.

The curfew began at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2, and was initially scheduled to end at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 4, but will now remain in effect until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 6.

The boundaries of the curfew are as follows:

NORTH:                                Along Greendale main road from the bridge at Dempshire Pen to the intersection with Michael Manley Drive.

EAST:     Along Michael Manley Drive from Greendale main road to the intersection with the Spanish Town bypass road.

SOUTH:                Along the Spanish Town bypass road from Michael Manley Boulevard to the bridge at the Rio Cobre River.

WEST:   Along the eastern bank of the Rio Cobre River from the bridge at the Rio Cobre River to the Bridge at Dempshire Pen.

During the hours of the curfew, all persons within the designated boundaries are required to remain within their premises unless otherwise authorised in writing by the ground commander.
